Rent the Entire Cat Lounge!
Feeling unsure about crowds? Even though we have our Cat Lounge max at 10, we understand that everyone's level of comfort is different. For a limited time, we have a special rate to book the entire lounge. You can book it for yourself and a favorite book, or a superb socially distanced date night OR bring your entire family. Be with those in your inner circle and no one else! The entire Cat Lounge and all the cats to yourself... dreamy! It feels good to get out - while staying safe - and we are proud to offer this option for anyone who would prefer a more private experience. Click "private event" on the reservation page.
What about social distancing?
We will limit the amount of guests in the cat lounge at one time to 10 at any given time. To guarantee a spot, please make a reservation in advance! This number is much lower than the required 50% fire capacity mandate. We have removed tables, rearranged furniture and opened up our lounge so there is plenty of space to keep a good distance between others. Please do your part to keep our cafe safe and comfortable. We will also retire our wrist-banding practice for the foreseeable future to allow our staff to remain at a safe distance.
How are you keeping things clean?
As a cat cafe, our cleaning practices have always been far beyond typical retail establishments. We will continue frequent and routine environmental cleaning and disinfection of all high-touch areas with an EPA-approved, "List N" disinfectant for SARS-Co V-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19). All door knobs, tables, touch screens, chairs, etc will be cleaned numerous times daily (or after each guest leaves, time permitting). We have always provided hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol for guests to use and a bathroom to wash/dry your hands/face with soap and paper towels during your visit. We will encourage and remind you to take advantage of this when entering and exiting.
Will face coverings be required to enter?
According to Executive Order No. 141, face coverings shall remain in effect for anyone over 2 years of age.
Businesses must have all workers wear Face Coverings when they are or may be within six feet of another person. In addition, retail businesses must have all customers wear face coverings when they are inside the establishment and may be within feet of another person, unless the customer states that an exception applies. (Section 3.5 Face Coverings B.1)
As the CDC has cautioned, face coverings are just one protective measure, and not a substitute for social distancing, personal hygiene, and additional cleaning protocols.

Coming up for cats AND coffee? Make your reservation to visit the cats online, click RESERVATIONS on our website. Select your date/time/fill out your waiver (in the confirmation email) AND pay online. Before your scheduled appointment, place your order on CLOOSIV and we will bring it in to you when ready! Just let us know you've created a Cloosiv order so we know to walk it into the lounge for you.
The only thing needed at the register will be your name... you won't have to touch a thing! (well, except those kitties!)
COVID-19 FROM CATS?
At this time, there is no evidence that animals play a role in spreading the virus that causes COVID-19. Based on the limited information available to date, the risk of animals spreading COVID-19 to people is considered to be low. A small number of pets have been reported to be infected with the virus that causes COVID-19, mostly after contact with people with COVID-19.
There is no evidence that viruses specifically, including the virus that causes COVID-19, can spread to people from the skin, fur, or hair of pets.
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is a contagious disease that can lead to severe illness or death. According to the CDC, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting Mac Tabby Cat Cafe, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

If you have any symptoms of illness, are caring for a family member or have been diagnosed with COVID-19, please call or email us to reschedule your reservation! Our policy states that booking changes within 24 hours are not permitted, however during this unprecedented time, there are exceptions to this rule. We would prefer everyone happy and healthy during their visit!
