READY TO ADOPT?
GREAT! Ask a Cat Crew member for an application while visiting! If you would like to start the process from home, please email Princeton's Meow at Pmadoption@outlook.com to get started!
Cats over 1 year are $120. Kittens (1 year and younger) are $135. Bonded pairs are $150. If you adopt two kitties at once, the cost is $200. Fees cover the vet health check, treatment for fleas and worms, and all necessary vaccines. The cost of spay / neutering and micro-chipping is also part of the adoption fee. Proof of vetting for any current animal is required before an adoption is approved.
Adoption Night: You will be asked to bring a secure pet carrier. A representative from Princeton's Meow will be at your adoption to go over paperwork and take your payment (cash, debit / credit). Our Cat Crew will then take a polaroid of you and your new furry family member for our memory books, then you're ready to go!
Please Note: Applying does not guarantee that the specific kitty you're interested in will still be available when your application is complete. Applications must be approved before a cat is put "on hold" for someone. We encourage pre-approval to make the process smoother if you're ready to adopt a new family member!
*The Mac Tabby staff does not field applications or make decisions regarding the process. Questions or concerns must be directed to Princeton's Meow. Thank you for understanding!
I APPLIED! WHEN WILL I HEAR SOMETHING?
Princeton's Meow kindly asks for a 72 hour grace period. Their team members all work their "regular" 9-5 jobs and then dedicate their time to the cats and the humans ready to love them (aka "the best job of all!") They are working hard for everyone involved and appreciate your patience!
WHAT DOES MY NEW CAT NEED?
Your kitty is used to eating Hill's Science Diet and Tidy Cat Scoopable (not lightweight) litter. You are welcome to change this at your home but we suggest starting out this way. At adoption, you will get a bag of food to take home with you to get started, as well as a little goodie bag courtesy of Princeton's Meow. Cats love stimulation, so don't forget to shop for some scratching posts, catnip and toys!
OUR RESCUE PARTNER
Princeton's Meow is the Humane Society of Concord's cage-free cat adoption facility. Their primary mission is to save cats and kittens from unnecessary euthanasia in kill shelters. They pull the majority of our cats from kill shelters in NC & SC. If you want to volunteer or just ask a question about their needs, practices or facility, you can email them at email@example.com
