CITRUS BLISS

Female, 4 years

Citrus Bliss was recently returned to our care through absolutely no fault of her own after her previous family encountered unforeseen circumstances that changed everything.

Coming back into a shelter environment after knowing the comforts of a home is incredibly tough on a cat, and Citrus Bliss is currently navigating that big transition. Right now, she can be a bit persnickety and tends to try to keep people at a distance. But beneath that cautious exterior, it’s easy to see that this is simply a defense mechanism. She is simply scared to get attached and hurt again, using her spicy guard up to protect her gentle heart. Once she realizes she is safe, her true, blissful nature shines through. She just needs a little time to remember that good things can last. Citrus Bliss is looking for a patient, understanding, and low-pressure household where she can decompress at her own pace. We are also recommending a home with no children under 12 for this reason. She thrives with a family who recognizes that a little bit of attitude is just a cover for a girl who desperately wants to feel secure again. If you have a quiet home and a patient heart, Citrus Bliss is ready to slowly let her guard down and become the loyal, beautiful companion she was always meant to be.
